I saw this collection and was interested in half of the eyeshadows. They seemed a good mix of neutrals and heathered jeweltones. There are also several blushes and multipurpose highlighter/eyeshadows - I am getting two of the highlighters, and (for now) passing on the blushes. The colorshifting in the eyeshadows is pretty subtle the way that I normally apply my eyeshadows, but the shades I chose to buy, I liked them enough without a more obvious colorshift.
The description of this color…kind of resembles the color that I see. I see much more red-leaning brown, and I don’t see green. But it’s a well-pigmented, solid, rich brown with red tones and a nice finish. It blends nicely, and works alongside warner and other neutral colors. (I tried pairing it with a slate-blue and…no, not a great fit.)
Not as dark a purple base as I thought it might be, but it's an attractive polish. This is similar to Fairies Wear Boots, but a little cooler.
I like these shadows quite a lot better than I like the Chrome Collection shades. For one, this brighter palette appeals to me more than the Chrome Collection LE. Second, the overall collection reminds me a bit of the old Opulent Lustres collection from Aromaleigh. There isn’t a one-to-one match, but there are some shades that are fairly close.
I elected NOT to get the other two colors in this collection, because I have manymanyMANY brown eyeshadows. I don’t have many good, solid dark browns that aren’t verging on black. (I have a few, but some of those are too dark to easily use as anything other than a liner.) This has good coverage, and it blends a bit better than my other dark brown eyeshadows.
