More charcoal than navy-sparkle. This is not a glitterbomb, though. (It probably can be, if you pack it on/apply it over a sticky base.) I haven’t figured out the best way to use this yet, in looks that I generally wear…but I like the blue-green cast to this color!
For whatever reason or series of reasons, this polish was the easiest to find available from etailers and even Color Club itself, a full year after the release of the collection. (This worked out well for me, because it’s my favorite polish from the collection.) It’s opaque on one coat, but a touch uneven. Two coats gave me full, even coverage that lasted nearly a week with no tipwear or dulling. I did not use a top coat,...
Meow’s Evergleam and Shiro’s Cozy and Bright have a lot of overlap. I don’t think it’s conscious, other the fact that the overall color palette is something that’s been done before (obviously, because Meow pulled their inspiration from past Christmases.) The shades in Evergleam are a little bit more pigmented, and most are metallic-finish rather than satin.
The description for this seemed to indicate that it would be more of a purplish-brown. It’s a fairly straightforward medium-light base shade with a fairly strong pearl finish. I try and use colors like this - both this color-weight and the superstrong pearl finish - as a liner beneath my lower lash line, because they’re a bit too “no-color” for my preference.
Based off of the color Gemini, but eye-safe and ready-to-wear. (The MyMix colors are not just mica.) The color’s a little deeper, and the gold shimmer is softened a bit. It’s definitely still visible, just a little less front-and-center than with Gemma.
One of the two lippie stix shades from the Hello Kitty collab. This is a fairly straightforward pink with some salmon undertones. I think I’ve seen nearly this shade of pink - minus the nude/salmon undertones - in nearly every lipstick line that I’ve tried. The buff/nude is what differentiates it from most other pinks, though.
Vibrant turquoise-teal! I guess this was a limited-edition color…or was it merely discontinued because it wasn’t quite on-trend any more? At any rate, I’m very glad I got some of this. It’s almost too bright for me to reach for on a day-to-day basis, but I seem to have an attraction to this color anyway. I keep buying eyeshadows, eyeliners, even eye pencils in this shade without entirely realizing it.
I liked this color the instant I saw it in the promo photos! It’s a greyed blue that, to me, looks like a color you might find in someone’s beach house. A solid color, clear, and aged rather than worn down. The color is darker than the bottle suggests. (Has CND started painting the inside of their bottles, rather than just allowing the polish to show through?) I can see this looking really great in nail art, but...
