Femme Fatale Cosmetics’ Night in Werewolf Woods

Femme Fatale Cosmetics’ Night in Werewolf Woods

The purple softens and lightens when applied dry; but use any mixing medium and you get a vivid deep purple. Perhaps not quite as red-leaning as it appears in the pot, more of a violet than a deep plum. But a deeper shade, nevertheless. This color will stain your skin unless you use a primer. (Found that out while doing the swatches.)

It applies just a little...thinner than I might prefer. It can't easily be layered, but it intensifies quite well over any cream base.

Roughened finish, not quite a foil because it isn’t metallic…completely…and it isn’t textured. But there’s definitely something granular in the polish. This is a very deep charcoal, not quite black but close. It leans a little cool, but just barely.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics’ You Choose the Scare Vol II collection

Femme Fatale Cosmetics’ You Choose the Scare Vol II collection

I like this collection more than the first volume. think it’s because I’m spotting more jeweltones…but also because both of the blushes are cooler colors. One is even an actual purple!! Wicked Wax Museum and Vampire Breath were the thinnest coverage - just a few thin spots on each, though they are closer to “semi-opaque” than fully opaque. Either will look interesting over any colored base.

This particular kit was long gone by the time I started buying BE…but all of the color-pieces (except the lipstick) were still around and fairly easily available. I can use the two eyeshadows together, but I really prefer using them alongside a lighter shade to balance them out. The blush is a bit too deep for use as a blush, but I can use it on my lids or as a lighter contour shade.

This is sort of red…but when I apply it, it leans much more purple. (For those of you who have never seen a living sand dollar, they’re this color. Yep, sand dollars and some starfish are mauvey-purple.) The color lightens a bit, but doesn’t lose much intensity. The shimmer is very soft, the particles are very small. It’s not like a more solid duotone layer that you see with some shadows. It’s just a softer,...

BareMinerals’ Radiant kit

BareMinerals’ Radiant kit

I have zero information on when this was released or where it was available. I’m going to guess that it was yet another QVC-exclusive kit from BE’s earlier (pre-2006) years, but I could be totally wrong on that.

Another of the Get-The-Look kits that gave a slight discount when buying the eyeshadows (at the time, you saved $1 per shadow.) I like this trio, and think it will appeal more than a few of the other GTL groupings. Moss is more of a greened brown than a green, so it acts like a cooler neutral rather than a cool-toned shade.
